Create space for yourself to start 2026 with clarity and intention with this one-day yoga retreat in a very special private barn surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the North Wessex Downs.
This day is an opportunity to make time for rest and reflection, to reconnect with yourself after the busy Christmas season and to reflect on how you want to show up in the world over the year to come. With yoga and meditation practices, delicious healthy food, walking and connecting with like-minded souls, the day will allow you to re-set and start the New Year as you mean to go on.
THE VENUE
Our day will be spent at a stunning private barn located in the village of Combe, which is 6 miles from Hungerford and 12 miles from Newbury. The barn is spacious yet cosy, with an exposed oak-framed vaulted ceiling and large windows looking out onto views of Walbury Hill, which at 297m is the highest natural point in South East England. Surrounded by the hills of the North Wessex Downs, we'll be in the perfect spot to take in the beautiful landscape and enjoy the stillness of the Berkshire countryside.
THE YOGA
The morning yoga practice will be active, combining asana, pranayama and meditation to allow you to connect with your body, your breath and your mind. During the afternoon practice, I'll guide you through a special meditation with optional journaling to crystalise your intentions for the new year, followed by a deeply restful restorative yoga and guided meditation practice to promote complete relaxation.
The yoga practice will be suitable for all levels of experience, including those newer to yoga. If you have not practised yoga with me before, you can read more about me and my teaching style and experience here.
THE FOOD
To complement the day’s activities, lunch will be healthy and nutritious to nourish and replenish your body. It will be a freshly prepared two-course vegetarian meal, created by Jade's Green Kitchen. Any special diets can be catered for; please advise me of any specific requirements when booking.
THE WALK
On our doorstep we'll have access to a beautiful walk in and around Combe, taking in this stunning area of the North Wessex Downs, including Walbury Hill and Combe Gibbet. Walking boots or wellies are recommended.

WHAT TO BRING
All of the yoga equipment is provided, but please bring your own if you'd like to. Please bring wellies or walking boots and a coat for the walk.
TRAVEL
The venue is in Combe, close to Hungerford and Newbury. The exact address and directions will be provided a few weeks before the event.
